SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/c/VicStefanu - Let's go to American Samoa which is a group of islands in the South Pacific Ocean that lie about halfway between Hawaii and New Zealand and about 100km east of the island country of Samoa, which is part of the same archipelago, ethnicity and culture. We will visit the island of Tutuila which has good public transportation (frequent, but unscheduled) via “aiga” or “family” colorful buses, the subjects of this video. For one to two dollars you can be taken around Pago Pago Harbor, and to the more remote parts of the island. Buses originate and terminate at the market in Fagatogo, the village next to Pago Pago. The roads are generally too narrow and the traffic too busy for bicycles. Buses within densely populated areas run very frequently, w...

Me & my cousins checking out the cave. Really dark (need a good torch) but hopefully i'll go there again next year & film better footage as something went wrong with my camera when i was inside so i stopped recording. Located in the village of Paia, Savaii - according to belief, dwarfs still inhabit this intriguing lava tube cave and their footprints can still be seen today. This fascinating over a km long cave is found in the northern part of Savaii.
During my Peace Corps service I made trips into the capital of Apia to buy fruits and vegetables at the market, and do other shopping I needed. This video was taken on October 8, 2011, the Saturday before White Sunday. White Sunday is a day that celebrates the kids, and gives them the chance to say prayers, and perform songs and skits at church, before receiving several candy necklaces and sometimes, even ice cream!! This Saturday is typically the busiest shopping day of the year for Samoans.

Unless you understand the intricacies of PMV (Public Motor Vehicle) travel, getting on a PMV bus for inter-provincial travel can be quite daunting. The growth of the transport industry in Papua New Guinea has given rise to a tough market of unregulated informal employment at the PMV stops, along the highways and at towns and cities outside of Port Moresby. Bethanie Harriman takes a look at the PMV industry. - visit us at http://www.emtv.com.pg/ for the latest news...
There has been a large drop in the number of cattle in Samoa. To boost numbers and improve genetics, the World Bank is helping the Government of Samoa import new cattle stock from overseas - the first time cattle have been flown in from Australia. In addition to a new pool of cattle, training is helping farmers improve the management and productivity of their farms.
Interesting experience riding bus around American Samoa.
